Many anthropology departments throughout the nation participate in "Goat Roasts," and we started participating in this tradition here at Purdue in 2015. Each spring semester, we make and use stone tools to butcher a goat, which we then grill up and serve along with other tasty foods at a barbecue-style event where undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and the public celebrate another year of anthropology at Purdue.
This major end-of-the-year event is a major endeavor, so let us know if you would like to volunteer to help before, during, or after the event. No matter where your talents & interests lie, there's an opportunity for you to contribute! We'll need all the help we can get to make this event a reality, so let us know if you're interested in helping out!
